Hi, I had 4x 2gb ddr3 / 10600 unbuffered 240pin ram memory installed in my acer m5910, everything worked fine (stock) Wanted to upgrade my computer and bought 4x4 4gb of same ddr3 for total of 16gb After installing 4 new sticks acer didnt even boot up, tried with different ports and then with only 2x4 sticks and same thing happened. Then i installed my old 4x2gb memory back everything worked again fine. Thing is my motherboard should support 16gb max: So whats the problem?

BTW my bios version is p01-a3. On acer page i could download and flash it to p01-a4 if that makes any difference? And here you you suggest 1600 and 4 sticks, which also can be a problem, the CPU is not OCed and is only rated to 1066/1333 which seldom can run 4 sticks of 1600 (at 1600 anyway), this is also a prebuilt, prob with a locked BIOS that may not be able to even set up 4 sticks of native 1600 down to 1066 or 1333. Here will it worked with a locked CPU (prob not at 1600), and the MC is more the determining factor than the mobo. Can you make adjustments to the DRAM (voltage/timings) if problems? Again prob not as prebuilts normally have a locked BIOS. In over 30 years of buying memory, and some of it from Crucial, I have never had any issues with Crucial memory, and during that time, I would guess 4-5 systems got multiple kits of Crucial memory to move to a higher amount of memory for that client.
